The City of Woodbury is planning improvements to Edgewater Park, including a parking lot reconfiguration, replacement of tennis and basketball courts, and the possible addition of pickleball courts. These upgrades aim to improve visitor experience, accessibility, and recreational opportunities. Project Goals: Improve parking lot efficiency: Expand capacity. Replace and renovate existing tennis and basketball courts. Consideration of the addition of pickleball courts. Improve site amenities: Add benches and improved connections between park amenities. Project is included City of Woodbury Fiscal Year 2025-2029. As of July 9, 2025, the project is in the planning phase, with the City seeking public input in 2025, and construction is anticipated to begin in Spring of 2026, with completion anticipated by late 2026. Presentation to Parks and Natural Resources Commission (PNRC) September 9, 2025. Final PNRC Review - seek concept approval October 7, 2025. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly.
