Renovation of a fire / police facility in Mount Holly, North Carolina. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
The City is seeking services to provide design services for the complete design to upgrade the 911 Communication Center. The room is located within the Mount Holly Police Department and it is an estimated 388 sq. feet. The room will have to meet all electronic and technological needs of the Motorola AXS consoles. An internet connection will need to be established on the other side of the control room firewall. This project will need 2 design options. One being the 911 room and attached bathroom upgrade, and the other being just the 911 room. The City is seeking a firm whose combination of experience and personnel will provide timely, cost-effective and quality professional services to support this project. The scope of this Project includes the following primary goals and deliverables: The Architect will perform a physical assessment of the 911 Communication Center. The Architect will prepare contract documents in form and detail suitable to obtain bids for construction. The Architect will submit plans and specifications to the Owner for approval. The Architect shall provide the technical documents necessary for the selection of proper action needed to maintain operational goals. The Architect shall furnish assistance to the Owner in securing bids, analyzing bids documents, and letting contracts. The Architect will provide design services for preparation of construction documents for each priority. The Architect shall provide Construction Assistance which includes a general review of the progress and quality of work performed by the Contractor. The City will select one firm to provide their services. All minority, women and small businesses are strongly encouraged to apply. The City reserves the right to reject any offer for failure to comply with all requirements of this notice or of any of the contract documents; however, it may waive any minor defects or informalities at its discretion. The City further reserves the right to reject all offers or award a contract which, in its judgment, is in the best interest of The City. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
