Site work, paving and renovation of a mixed-use development in Rome, New York. Completed plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility; for site work for a transportation facility; and for paving for a transportation facility.
This project includes rehabilitation of the center portion of Apron 1 & 2 and replacement of the associated storm water trench drains. The area being reconstructed on each Apron is approximately 1,450 feet long by 130 feet wide for a total area of 376,000 SF (8.6 acres, 11.5 total disturbed acres including 2.9 acres of asphalt removal). Project tasks will include pavement excavation of concrete pavement, stone subbase placement, and placement of bituminous asphalt pavement with FAA item P-401. The project will include replacement of the existing storm water trench drains that run the length of each apron with a new closed drainage system consisting of pipe and catch basins. Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside: No Disadvantaged Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 7.7% Contract term: 72 days
