For Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) Services for the CR 229N Project The Union County Board of County Commissioners is soliciting Request for Qualifications from professional firms, registered in the State of Florida, pursuant to Section 287.055, Florida Statutes, known as the Consultant Competitive Negotiation Act (CCNA), to provide Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) services for the CR 229N Project. Union County is seeking the services of a professional engineering firm to provide CEI services for the CR 229N Project. The project consists of widening, milling, resurfacing, and drainage improvements of an existing roadway and minor bridge repairs to bridge no. 394004. The total project length is approximately 7 miles from Norman Lane to Baker County line. The selected firm will perform services as listed under the "Scope of Services", attached hereto as Attachment "A", or services not specifically mentioned, but directly related to the project. Deadline for Questions Thursday, March 13, 2023 Committee Evaluation/Ranking Monday, March 27, 2023 Recommendation/Award Week of March 27, 2023 Design Completion May 2023 Contract Negotiations/Contract Execution - Construction contract to be let on or before June 1, 2023. Estimated Project duration 180 days; Construction to be completed on or before December 31, 2023 An original and seven (7) copies of the proposal plus one (1) copy in electronic format shall be sealed and clearly marked on the outside: "Request for Qualifications - CR 229N Construction Engineering Inspection Services". In addition to the information as stated above to be marked on the outside of the envelope, it should also provide the date and time of opening and company name and address. Proposals submitted by mail shall be enclosed in another sealed envelope and addressed to: Board of County Commissioners, c/o Dianne Hannon, Board Secretary, 15 NE 1st Street, Lake Butler, FL, 32054 Proposers are directed not to contact evaluating committee members, County Commissioners, Elected Officials, County departments or divisions until award has been made by the Board of County Commissioners.
