This project is one of the Ashford Dunwoody Corridor Study recommended projects. The Ashford Dunwoody at Windsor Parkway Intersection Improvement project consists of roadway, operations, and safety improvements. This is a federally funded project with Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) project identification number (P.L# 0016056) in the Transportation improvement Program (TIP). The consultant's alternatives analysis, based on recommendations from the Comidor Study, determined a single lane roundabout provided the best option of prioritizing vehicluar and pedestrian safety with Level of Service (LOS). The City will match funding at the 20% level for engineering design and ROW from ARC/GDOT. Public Works provided design Notice To Proceed July 8, 2020. The anticipated contract let date for the project is Q2, 2026. Project is included in the City of Brookhaven's Fiscal Year 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Program (CIP). Per the owner, as of January 3, 2025, the city is currently awaiting the execution of a ROW funding Agreement with GDOT to begin acquisition of right-of-way (ROW) within the project limits. Once that agreement has been signed, the city will begin the property acquisition & negotiation process.
