This Request for Quotations (the "RFQ") is an invitation by the Limestone District School Board (the "Board") to prospective respondents to submit non-binding quotations for RFQ 23-38A Building Envelope Remediation and RFQ 23-38B Kinder Yard Improvements at Lord Strathcona Public School Prequalified General Contractors are required to use Prequalified Roofing Contractors as well. RFQ 23-38A Building Envelope Remediation: The scope of work includes the full rehabilitation of the north and west facades of the building, including, but not limited to, asphalt and concrete pavement removal, excavation of existing foundations and removal of existing EIFS cladding, windows and doors in preparation for the new work. The new work includes the installation of new concrete foundations, brick masonry and metal panel cladding, new extruded aluminum curtain wall windows and doors, new barrier-free access ramps at two building entrances and new asphalt concrete paving. In addition to the building envelope rehabilitation, the project also includes replacing approximately 650 square meters of existing BUR roofing with a new modified bituminous roof system and installing new metal siding on the north-facing raised wall of the existing gymnasium. RFQ 23-38B Kinder Yard Improvements: Work under this project includes site reinstatement to improve drainage and provide newly landscaped site features.
