A bid bond by an admitted surety insurer on the form provided by the District a cashier's check or a certified check, drawn to the order of the South San Francisco Unified School District, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total bid price, shall accompany the Bid Form and Proposal, as a guarantee that the Bidder will, within seven (7) calendar days after the date of the Notice of Award, enter into a contract with the District for the performance of the services as stipulated in the bid. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by the District in response to such questions will be issued in writing by Addenda and delivered to all parties recorded by the District as having received the Contract Documents or posted on the District's website. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. The bids were opened on Monday March 13, 2023. The lowest bidder VNH Builder's bid was non-responsive, and it withdrew. The second lowest bidder R&S CM Inc. had a total of $ 380,866 that included Alternates 1 and 2, and is being recommended as the lowest responsive bidder for Board of Trustees consideration on March 23, 2023. The third lowest bidder JJ Construction & Design Inc., that included Alternates 1 and 2, and its bid amounted to $398,000. With approval from the Board, we will proceed on awarding the Contract to R&S CM shortly thereafter. Sincerely
