ID NUMBER CA0213ZZ PURPOSE OF SOURCES SOUGHT The General Services Administration ("GSA") is conducting this Sources Sought to identify general contractors who possess the capabilities to provide the services specified below and to determine their availability, capability, and adequacy. This Sources Sought is being used as a market research tool to gather information that will help shape acquisition strategy. Your responses will assist the GSA determine whether a small business set-aside is possible for this procurement or whether full and open competitive procedures should be used. If full and open competition is ultimately pursued, responses to this Sources Sought will be used to aid in establishing small business subcontracting goals. Respondents will not be notified of the results. This notice shall not be construed as a Request for Proposal or as any commitment or obligation on the part of the GSA to issue a solicitation. The GSA does not intend to award a contract based on the GSA's request for a Statement of Interest under this Sources Sought. Proposals will not be considered. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this Sources Sought or any follow-up information requests. GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT This is a prospectus construction repair and alteration project involving removal and replacement of switchgear and submetering systems and the removal and replacement of five air handling units (See Attachment 1). PROJECTED ESTIMATED PROJECT DOLLAR RANGE The estimated magnitude of the project in terms of an estimated price range is more than $10,000,000. NAICS CODE The project will be implemented using the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 236220. The small business size standard matched to NAICS 236220 in millions of dollars is $45,000,000.00. The Hagel Federal Building was constructed in 1975. It serves as the regional headquarters for its sole occupant, the Social Security Administration. It will be fully occupied during construction and must remain fully operational during the entire construction period. The project involves the placement of new technology into a building that was constructed over 47 years ago. Existing systems must be merged with new systems and interfaced with all existing equipment in the building. The project involves cooperation with other contractor teams performing other construction projects at the Hagel Federal Building while the Prospectus Project is taking place. SUBMISSION OF STATEMENT OF INTEREST Interested qualified firms may submit a Statement of Interest in compliance with the Submission Instructions in Attachment 2. Submission of a response is strictly voluntary. It is not mandatory to submit a response to this notice to participate in a formal proposal process that may take place in the future.
