Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. All bids shall be on a lump sum basis without alterations, additions, or erasures on the form provided in the project manual. Envelopes containing bids must be sealed, marked "Osseo Area Schools, 2023 Pavement Rehabilitation" with the name and address of the bidder, the name of the Project, and the date and hour of the opening. Partial sets of Bidding Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for full or partial sets of Bidding Documents, including Addenda if any, obtained from sources other than the Issuing Office. Each bidder shall include the bid security with the Bid Form as described in the Instructions to Bidders. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. CONSTRUCTION SCHEDULE A. A pre-construction conference will be held prior to, or during the week of May 15, 2023. B. It is the intent to start work during the week of June 12, 2023, unless otherwise noted. C. The Substantial Completion Inspection will be conducted on, or prior to, the week of August 4, 2023. D. A Final Inspection will be conducted on, or prior to, August 18, 2023. At the Final Inspection, all work included as part of this contract will be fully completed, including items such as cleanup, repairs to existing property, and punch-list items.
