**As of May 4, 2023, project was awarded to Thermal Services, awarded amount is $197,814.29.** Rooftop HVAC Equipment Replacement - Hazard Middle School and Roy G. Eversole Elementary School Gymnasiums - ESSR III 1. Project Location: Hazard Middle School, 325 School St., Hazard, KY 41701. 2. Project Location: Roy G. Eversole Elementary School, 601 Broadway St., Hazard, KY 41701 Scope- Removal and replacement of (2) packaged, rooftop HVAC units from detached gymnasiums at each Project site and other Work indicated in the Contract Documents. Existing roof curbs and ductwork shall remain, with only modifications required to accept new HVAC units. New controls for new equipment at each gymnasium will be required. Bids shall be accomplished by certified check or bid bond in the amount of Five percent (5%) of the bid amount. In case the bid is not accepted, the check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder. Should the bidder refuse or neglect to enter into a contract with the Owner within ten (10) days after notification of acceptance of their bid, the said check or bid bond shall be forfeited to the Owner as liquidated damages for failure to do so. It is the Owners' intent to purchase significnat quantities of material items through direct purchase orders. Interested material suppliers should contact Lynn Imaging for a list of plan-holders. This project will be funded with Federal Funds. Federal wage rates apply to this project under the Davis-Bacon and Related Acts Provisions Bidders shall review requirements and Federal regulations and comply with all aspects of the Davis-Bacon and Related Acts Provisions, including maintaining certified pay- rolls. No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of Sixty (60) days after the deadline set for the receipt of bids. The successful bidder will be required to furnish an acceptable performance and payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract sum plus the total of all purchase orders. There will be no Pre-Bid Conference for this project. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities and enter into a contract with the best apparent qualified bidder
