All bids received from contractors who are not certified will be rejected. These changes take effect January 1, 2014. In general, the work consists of: reconstruction of the exterior concrete stairs, sidewalks and railings at buildings 3, 10, 11 and the administration building and reconstruction of the pedestrian bridge at the administration building. It will include items such as removals, base aggregate dense, concrete steps, curb and gutter and sidewalk, concrete masonry bridges, pipe railing and asphaltic surface. The 2017-2019 Wisconsin State Budget (2017 Wisconsin Act 59) repealed Wisconsin's prevailing wage laws. Effective September 23, 2017, state prevailing wage requirements on state building projects no longer apply. These changes take effect for projects advertised for bid after September 23, 2017.
