Oconto County Forest & Parks is will accept bids to hand plant 1-0 containerized red pine seedlings on 101 total acres. Bids will be received and awarded on a per acre basis. Deposit cash in the amount of $2000.00 with the County or provide the County with a performance bond or irrevocable letter of credit in the amount of $2000.00 by April 15, 2023, to be held until the completion of all conditions of this contract to the satisfaction of the County. If the County determines there is a breach of any condition, then at the discretion of the County, all of the deposit or performance bond or any portion thereof shall be forfeited to the County. The County shall return the deposit or performance bond within 30 days of satisfactory completion of the contract by the contractor. Planting must be completed between April 20, 2023, and May 26, 2023 when the ground is no longer frozen. Oconto County will deliver seedlings to the planting site, and will inspect planting performance to determine the final payment. The Contractor will "NOT BE REQUIRED" to perform any seedling preparation or root pruning. A sample contract and a copy of site maps are attached.
