The Project Includes the Following Work: the Proposed Projects Consists of New 12" Pvc Water Mains to Be Constructed Along the South Side of Highway 87 for Approximately 4,600 Linear Feet, Along Cooksey Road for Approximately 14,000 Linear Feet and Along the West Side of Loop 1604 for Approximately 6,800 Linear Feet in San Antonio, Bexar County, Texas. The Majority of the Project Pipeline Alignments Will Be Placed in Private Easement and to a Much Lesser Extent in Roadway Right-of-way When There is No Room in the Existing Easement. An Additive Alternate Bid Will Be Included for the Same Alignments but for a 16" Diameter Pvc Water Mains. Bids Are Requested for the Following Contract: Usda 12" Water Pipelines at Highway 87, Cooksey Road and Loop 1604 With Alternate Bids for 16" Diameter. American Iron and Steel Section 746 of Title Vii of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2017 (Division a - Agriculture, Rural Development, Food and Drug Administration, and Related Agencies Appropriations Act, 2017) and Subsequent Statutes Mandating Domestic Preference Applies an American Iron and Steel Requirement to This Project. All Iron and Steel Products Used in This Project Must Be Produced in the United States. The Project Has an Expected Duration of 180 Days. The Term "Iron and Steel Products" Means the Following Products Made Primarily of Iron or Steel: Lined or Unlined Pipes and Fittings, Manhole Covers and Other Municipal Castings, Hydrants, Tanks, Flanges, Pipe Clamps and Restraints, Valves, Structural Steel, Reinforced Precast Concrete, and Construction Materials.
