The ceiling to be reconfigured is inside the doors of the Jean-Brillant entrance of the Decelles building. By the way, the current recessed metal halide type fixtures will have to be replaced by LED type equivalents. See the appendices to help contextualize the steps presented below. The project is turnkey, i.e. it includes, but is not limited to, demolition, materials, transportation, installation and finishing of the following work: - Dismantle the fan coils and dismantle the suspended ceiling. Part of it will be recovered during reinstallation; - Install the air curtain units, the magnetic contacts for the 3 double doors, the relays, the controller, the control panel, in short all the components that will allow the proper operation of the air curtain according to the instructions of the manufacturer and the prescribed sequence of operation. The location of the air curtain unit junction boxes should be specified when ordering to allow installation compatible with the ceiling design and in particular side-by-side installation. The wiring of the magnetic contacts must be as discreet as possible, so it must pass inside the frame of the current doors. The control panel must be easily accessible once the ceiling is finished; - Assemble the structure that will support the suspended ceiling. Several elements of the previous structure can be retrieved; - Replace metal halide fixtures with thin recessed LED fixtures without housing; - Shorten the plumbing of the sprinkler systems in order to refocus them inside the new frame formed by the nearest suspended ceiling. Sprinklers and light fixtures must be aligned; - Close the suspended ceiling with the tiles according to the plans, install the finishing grilles of the air curtain units, complete the installation of light fixtures and sprinklers; - Have the ceiling validated by a consultant engineer in paraseismic and submit the validation report to HEC Montréal.
