MBE (19.6%), WBE (6.9%) substantially complete by December 1, 2023, and fully complete by May 31, 2024. The project will include IEPA and local funding for improvements to a total of 312 water service lines in the Village of Carpentersville. The proposed improvements consist of approximately 259 full lead service line replacements from water main to the interior water meter, 53 partial lead service line replacements from b-box to meter, contractor coordination with residents, PCC sidewalk removal and replacement, PCC curb and gutter removal and replacement, HMA pavement removal and patching, driveway removal and replacement, temporary stockpiling of spoils, restoration, and all other appurtenant work required to complete the project in accordance with the specifications and all other applicable standards. Special attention shall be given to American Iron and Steel (AIS) Act requirements as referenced throughout the Project Manual. Material procurement shall meet these requirements, regardless of approved makes/models listed herein. Contractor shall utilize products that are both listed as acceptable products herein and meet the AIS requirements. If no listed products for a component meet the AIS requirements, the Contractor shall notify the Owner and Engineer prior to submitting a bid. No cost increases will be granted after bids are received due to requested product substitutions.
