Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Linville, Virginia. Conceptual plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
The McGaheysville water system was upgraded in 2018-2019 to improve fire flow to the area. A new tank in this area would increase those flows while also providing a reliable backup to the system in case of a waterline break at any point east of Power Dam Road in McGaheysville. The Comprehensive Plan calls for additional growth in this area and this project would provide additional storage and service for any developments. This project is in included in the City's or County's FY 2025-2029 Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). As of June 17, 2025, construction funded for FY2028-FY2029. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP). A CIP is a financial schedule for short- and long-range projects which is updated regularly. Information listed in the CIP often evolves based on funding availability and the project details, including timeline and value, are subject to change.
