Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Smithfield, Virginia. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

The project consists of constructing a new Old Stage Road Booster Pump Station on vacant property in order to extend water supply from the Town of Smithfield to Hardy Elementary School. The work generally includes, but is not limited to, building construction, installation of process piping, pumping equipment, electrical systems, instrumentation systems, control systems, and associated trade work. The contractor shall provide all labor, superintendence, material, tools, equipment, and other ancillary items necessary to complete this project. This project follows two previous phases of water main extension required to provide water to a new County elevated water storage tank currently under construction at Hardy Elementary School. Questions concerning this project must be in writing (email preferred) and addressed to ewishall@isleofwightus.net and must be received no later than 3:00 p.m., March 8, 2023 The Work includes but is not limited to the following: Furnish and install one Booster Pump Station as shown on the contract drawings that consists of: a) A precast building containing one room of pumps and controls, and one room with sodium hypochlorite chemical feed pumps, injection, and storage. b) Water connections and piping from the water main along Old Stage Road to the onsite booster station. c) All site work as indicated on the contract drawings. d) Electrical work as indicated on the contract drawings. e) All other appurtenances and work as indicated on the contract drawings and specifications
