Site work and new construction of a civil project in Ellwood City, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.

The estimates are: Contract 1- GC $4,500,000 and Contract 2- EC is $600,000 A general description of each contract is listed below: Wampum Pump Station - General and Electrical Construction Contract 1 General Construction of the approximately 2,300 liner feet of 18-inch sanitary sewer, approximately 5,200 linear feet of 18-inch sanitary force main, new sanitary sewer pump station (Wampum Pump Station) and building, and site work and restoration. Contract 2 Electrical work for Wampum Pump Station including wiring, motor control centers, standby generator, SCADA and related work. Each bid must be accompanied by proposal security in the form of a certified check, bank cashier's check, treasurer's check, or bid bond in an amount equal to not less than ten percent (10%) of the total bid price in accordance with provisions contained in the "Instructions to Bidders" section of the specifications. Proposal Security shall be made payable to the Borough of Ellwood City. Additional Doc Acq Note: Bidders or vendors requesting next day or special mailing will be responsible for all mailing or shipping charges. Bidders must be on record at the issuing office as an official plan holder. Addenda, if any, will be issued to only those persons or companies who have purchased a full set of contract documents. Contractors must comply with Davis Bacon Wage Rate Determinations, as specified in the Contract Documents. This project is being federally funded by EPA financial assistance dollars and therefore requires all contractors to demonstrate compliance with Federal Executive Orders 11625, 12138 and 12432 and EPA Regulations at 40 CFR Part 30 et a., through the detailed documentation of solicitation of Disadvantage Business Enterprises (DBEs). Contractors must demonstrate the Six Good Faith Efforts to identify and solicit DBE firms that are potential sources for any procurement action in the areas of project construction, equipment, services and supplies by including state qualified small businesses, and minority and women owned business enterprises in the bidding process. Except as otherwise expressly permitted by law, no bidder may withdraw its bid for a period of 60 days after date of bid opening. The Borough of Ellwood City reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to accept or reject any part of any bid, and to waive any and all informalities in connection therewith.
