Sealed Bid SW2238 Request for Bids FY23 Stormwater Drain Rehabilitation (Lining of approx. 1,800 LF of 24 to 48-inch storm sewers, internal point repairs, and rehabilitation of storm drainage structures) The Project consists of the cleaning and rehabilitation by Machine Spiral Wound Liner Method using PVC Profiles or UV CURED-In-Place-Pipe (CIPP) of approximately 1,200 linear feet of corrugated metal pipe (CMP) stormwater drains 24 to 48 inches in diameter, internal point repairs in CMP stormwater drains 30 to 48 inches in diameter, replacement of approximately 140 linear feet of 36 inch diameter CMP Pipe, rehabilitation of stormwater inlet and junction structures, and restoration of damaged ground areas adjacent to existing stormwater drains A. The Work to be performed under this Contract shall consist of furnishing all plants, tools, equipment, materials, supplies, and manufactured articles and furnishing all labor, transportation, and services, including fuel, power, water, and essential communications, and performing all work, or other operations required for the fulfillment of the Contract in strict accordance with the Contract Documents. The Work shall be complete, and all work, materials, and services not expressly indicated or called for in the Contract Documents, which may be necessary for the complete and proper construction of the Work in good faith, shall be provided by the Contractor as though originally so indicated, at no increase in cost to the Owner. B. The quantities shown on the bid form are estimates for the work including the intended rehabilitation method based upon the available information. The assigned means, methods and quantities described herein are subject to revision by the Owner for various reasons including but not limited to, unforeseen utility conflicts, discovery of subsurface rock strata, unforeseen pipeline encasement, etc. As such, a unit price contract type has been selected to prosecute the work and is not intended to be a guarantee for a minimum amount of work. The Contract comprises the Spiral Wound PVC Profile Lining rehabilitation of selected portions of the stormwater drain system and as shown on the Drawings. The Work includes but is not limited to the following items: 1. Machine Spiral Wound Liner Method Using PVC Profiles or UV Cured-InPlace Pipe (CIPP) of approximately 1,200 linear feet of 24-Inch to 48-Inch diameter stormwater drains. 2. Internal Point Repairs in CMP Stormwater Drains 30 to 48-inches in diameter 3. Replacement of approximately 65 linear feet of 18-inch diameter CMP and 335 linear feet of 36-inch diameter CMP pipe and replacement with Dual Wall Corrugated PVC Drain Pipe. 4. Location and raising of junction boxes. 5. Rehabilitation of stormwater inlet and junction structures. 6. Restoration of damaged ground areas adjacent to existing stormwater drains. 7. Erosion control. 8. Traffic control. B. Other work associated with the above items. All Work shall be performed according to the requirements of the Contract Documents. No interpretation of the meaning of the drawings, specifications or other pre-bid documents will be made to any Bidder orally.
