Questions due: Feb 28, 2023 The City of Green Bay, WI (pop. 108,000) is soliciting proposals from qualified planning firms or consultant teams to update the City of Green Bay Smart Growth 2022 Comprehensive Plan, which was adopted in 2003. It is the desire of the city to utilize a Neighborhood/District/Corridor plan approach consisting of dividing the city into "neighborhood districts" and selecting a limited number of special districts (e.g. downtown) and corridors for specific focus (e.g. East Mason Street commercial corridor), creating a vision for not only the overall city but also for each district, special area and corridor selected. The update to the City's Comprehensive Plan has the overreaching objective of providing the City Council, Boards and Commissions, staff, residents, businesses, and the overall development community with a comprehensive, rational, and coordinated tool to guide the City's decision making and development. The updated plan will also help maintain collaborative relationships within the community, surrounding neighbors, and other governmental entities. Timeline and Budget The anticipated timeline for planning process completion is between 18-24 months from initiation.
