Renovation of a water / sewer project in Wakaw, Saskatchewan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
This Request for Proposals (the "RFP") is an invitation by SaskWater to prospective Contractors to submit proposals for the replacement of the hydronic boiler plant at SaskWater's Wakaw Water Treament Plant (WTP), as described in the "Deliverables". The two existing boilers are original to the building, installed and commissioned in 1997. One boiler has begun to fail, and SaskWater seeks to replace the entire aging boiler plant prior to the next heating season to restore full operational reliability to the Wakaw WTP heating system. The scope of work generally involves demolition of the existing boiler plant, installation of new modulating condensing boilers and variable speed pumps operating on stand-alone control systems separate from the WTP PLC system, relocation of four hydronic unit heaters, and rebalancing of heating system flowrates throguhout the facility. SaskWater will maintain and distribute a list of all proponents in attendance. SaskWater will guide the attendees through the work areas and provide information on the facility and scope of work. All questions will be recorded, and SaskWater will post written answers to SaskTenders for all proponents to view. The proponents may take pictures of the work site during the visit.
