SEALED PROPOSALS addressed to the Honorable Joel Hale, Rusk County Judge, will be received for the Rusk County Airport Glide Path Clearing Project. The project basically consists of the following: Tree trimming and woody debris disposal associated with the Rusk County Airport north runway approach glide path. Rusk County Commissioners may select a bidder based on the lowest responsible bid and bidder's qualifications including past work performance. A Bidder's Bond, Certified or Cashier's Check in an amount of not less than five percent (5%) of the total bid shall accompany each bid as a guarantee that, if awarded the contract, the bidder will promptly enter into contract with Rusk County, Texas. No Bidder may withdraw their bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The successful bidder or bidders will be required to furnish a Performance Bond, Payment Bond and Maintenance Bond as well as proof of statutory worker's compensation insurance. A maintenance bond and proof of insurance will be required before a notice to proceed will be issued. The Commissioners of Rusk County reserve the right to reject any or all bids. Bids may be held by the County Commissioners for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award.
