Badillo Street Resurfacing Project Scope of Work : The Project includes, without limitation, furnishing all necessary labor, materials, equipment and other incidental and appurtenant Work necessary to satisfactorily complete the construction of the Badillo Street Resurfacing Project from Azusa Avenue to Lark Ellen Avenue - Project No. P2506 as more specifically described in the Contract Documents.This Work will be performed in strict conformance with the Contract Documents, permits from regulatory agencies with jurisdiction, and applicable regulations. The quantity of Work to be performed and materials to be furnished are approximations only, being given as a basis for the comparison of Bids. Actual quantities of Work to be performed may vary at the discretion of the City Engineer. The successful Bidder (Contractor) shall complete all work under the Contract within Thirty (30) Working Days from the Notice to Proceed. Liquidated Damages :Liquidated damages shall accrue in the amount of $500 for working day that work remains incomplete beyond the Project completion deadline specified in the Contract Documents. The Method of Contractor Selection Has Not Been Determined at This Time. Obtaining Bid Documents : Potential Bidders May Also Obtain the Contract Documents for the Project at the Engineering Counter Located at Covina City Hall, 125 E. College Street, Covina, California 91723-2199 for a Non-refundable Fee of $60 Per Set, or $65 Per Set if Mailed. The City Must Receive Payment Before the Contract Documents Will Be Provided. Each Bid must be accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, certified check or Bidder's Bond issued by a Surety insurer, made payable to the City and in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the total Bid submitted. Personal or company checks are not acceptable. Upon Contract award, the Contractor shall provide faithful performance and payment Bonds, each in a sum equal to the Contract Price. Before acceptance of the Project, the Contractor shall submit a warranty or maintenance Bond that is valid for one year from acceptance, in the amount of fifty percent (50%) of the Contract Price; in lieu of that Bond, the Contractor may submit proof from the Surety that the performance Bond has been extended for the appropriate duration of time.
