The Contractor shall furnish all supervision, labor, equipment, fuel, and traffic control, to include all equipment and flaggers as required per the most recent version of the Virginia Work Area Protection Manual (VWAPM) and any other incidentals necessary to meet the requirements stated within. The work shall consist of tree pruning, small tree removal, brush removal, and herbicide application to cut stumps and disposal of all generated debris, for the purpose of enhancing safety for the public. The Contractor shall be capable of commencing work within ten (10) calendar days of award of this IFB. The Contractor shall complete the work as identified and shall be responsible to mobilize the proper resources to accomplish the work by the prescribed Milestones/Completion date(s). The Virginia Department of Transportation herein referred to as "VDOT" is soliciting bids from interested firms to perform performance-based, planned by route tree pruning services, small tree removal services, brush removal services and application of herbicide to deciduous cut stumps in accordance of the performance specifications herein, within the Lynchburg District along highway rights-of-way. Any questions regarding this invitation for bid shall be submitted in writing to nasir.chhipa@vdot.virginia.gov no later than 5 business days, prior to the closing date.
