Renovation of a mixed-use development in Thornton, Colorado. Completed plans call for the renovation of a power facility.
**As of January 22nd, 2026, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The Project requires the Contractor to design, permit, furnish and install a turnkey solar photovoltaic (PV) system at the Thornton Water Treatment Plant (TWTP) located at 920 Thornton Parkway, Thornton CO, 80229. Thornton intends to include both rooftop and ground-mounted solar arrays to maximize energy production within the available footprint. The total system capacity, based on available space, is anticipated to be between 460 kW and 520 kW (DC). All questions shall be directed in writing to Patrick Hinterberger, Contracts Supervisor, 9500 Civic Center Drive, Thornton, CO 80229-4326, fax - 303-538-7556, or e-mail - patrick.hinterberger@ThorntonCo.gov, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., local time, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Thornton reserves the right to reject any and all Proposals, in part or in whole, and to award the Project to the most responsive and responsible firm(s) as deemed in the best interest of Thornton; further, the right is reserved to waive any formalities or informalities contained in said Proposal(s).
