The project includes modifications/additions to the existing concrete court, removal of the existing facilities, installation of four new pickleball courts, connection to the existing pickleball courts, fencing, and other construction activities to complete the conversion as described in the scope of work. Thornton intends to award a fixed priced construction contract for the conversion of the pickleball courts. However, Thornton recognizes there is more than one acceptable approach to complete the project. As such, Thornton is requesting proposing firms submit two options; Remove & Replace existing slab or the modification of the existing slab to meet the new required size/shape. Thornton will choose one of the options and execute a fixed price Construction Contract with Design tasks included based on the submitted proposed options.
