The Midland County Road Commission is seeking professional services for Road design, soil borings, and survey for a variety of projects. Projects may be added or deleted as-needed. Any vendor/consultant interested in providing services, please indicate your interest by submitting a proposal. Consultants and their sub-consultants shall be experienced in MDOT Road Design, soil borings, survey, and other project development requirements (estimates, permits, right-of-way, utility coordination, attend/run project meetings, etc). Submittal shall be limited to 4 pages of description of how the company can best provide services for Midland County Road Commission. Also include resumes of key personnel with MDOT Road design experience that are proposed to provide assistance to the Road Commission on an as-needed basis. Provide relevant experience, summaries of similar projects, and any other road design expertise.
The selection team will review the information submitted and will select up to two firms considered most qualified to perform the services based on the proposals. The selected Consultant(s) will be contacted to confirm capacity. Upon confirmation, negotiations will be conducted with the vendor(s) selected. The following is a partial listing of anticipated projects based on current information, and is intended for informational purposes only:
- 2024-2025 Local Agency Grant projects
- 2024-2025 Local Agency urban and rural Federal Aid projects
- Local project design assistance Plans for State/Federal Aid projects shall meet all MDOT current guidelines and standards. Plans for 100% local funded projects will be determined project by project. Consultant may be requested to provide design assistance during project construction. All questions regarding this request shall be emailed to bids@midlandroads.com . Questions will be accepted until 4:00pm on March 7, 2023. Answers to the questions will be sent to those who submitted them in the form of an emailed response. The Road Commission would like to thank all interested vendors in advance for the preparation of their proposals. The method of Contractor Selection has not been determined at this time.
