Each bid must be accompanied by either a bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid amount with a surety satisfactory to the City of Kenton, or by certified check, cashiers check, or letter of credit upon a solvent bank in the amount of not less than 10% of the bid amount in favor of the City of Kenton. Bid bonds shall be accompanied by Proof of Authority of the official or agent signing the bond. Each bid must be sealed and marked as "Bid for the City of Kenton 2023 Street Resurfacing Improvements Project" and mailed or delivered to: City of Kenton City of Kenton Municipal Building 111 W. Franklin St. Kenton, Ohio 43326 Attention of bidders is called to all of the requirements contained in the bid packet, particularly to the various prevailing wage rates, equal opportunity provisions, and the requirement for a bid guaranty and a performance bond for 100% of the contract price. Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experience on projects of similar size and complexity. The owner intends and requires that this project be completed no later than August 31, 2023. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will to the extent practicable use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project.
