The sealing work will be carried out on the streets that will be on the list that the representative of the Municipality will provide to the Successful Bidder. If the maximum budget available for carrying out the work is reached before the list is completed, the project will end where the work has already been carried out. If the maximum available budget is not reached at the end of the list appearing on the bid slip, the Municipality may determine other work sites so that work is carried out for the entire available budget, provided that possible. The procedure described above is necessary due to the difficulty of assessing exactly the quantity of existing cracks on each of the streets where the work is planned. The cracks will be sealed by the "no-milling" method. The work consists of, but is not limited to: Clean the street with a mechanical broom to remove any debris in the crack and on the roadway; Clean the groove using a "hot dog" type thermal nozzle to thoroughly clean the walls and dry them without burning them; Apply a tack coat, if required by the sealant manufacturer; Apply a sealing product; Spread the biodegradable release paper over the sealant. The cracks covered by this call for tenders must meet the following criteria Minimum width of 3 mm 25mm maximum width The contractor must consider a significant number of trips and mobilizations of his equipment and labor in establishing his price in order to intervene on the sections authorized for treatment. The work covers the entire territory of the municipality. Unless adverse or exceptional weather conditions or prior agreement with the Municipality, the work must be completed before fall 2023. The work must be carried out according to the Municipality's schedule, between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday to Friday . The contractor must notify the municipal representative 72 hours before the start of the work.
