Demolition, site work and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Tehkummah, Ontario. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; and for the construction of a bridge / tunnel.
Replacement of Townline Bridge No. 10. The bridge is located on Townline Road between White Lake Rd and Side Road 15, 30 m west of Side Road 15. The Municipality is anticipating that the existing unrated, and potentially undersized 10m, 2 span bridge can be replaced with a new conforming 8 stringer, single span 50ft prefabricated or modular bridge with post pocket extensions and road base retainers, that meets the requirements of the Canadian Highway Bridge Design Code, CSA S6-14, for Ontario. It is also anticipated that the new bridge can make use of shallow precast concrete substructures offset 25ft from either side of the existing center pier. TIMELINE: Tender was issued late June 2023 & awarded in August 2023.
