TRWD is requesting to have a new fence built at the Eagle Mountain North Spillway. The vendor will provide and construct approximately 1,800 linear feet of 8' tall security fencing with 2' of barbed and razor wire, for a total of 10' tall. A 1'x1' mow strip will need to be integrated into the fencing. On the boat ramp will need to be a double swing gate that covers approximately a 24' opening. Two-man gates will be integrated into the fencing for emergency use. Ground conditions vary from soil to hard rock. Security Fencing Fabric will be 8' tall with 2' of barbed and razor wire for a total of 10'. Chain Link Fabric: 6-gauge galvanized steel wire fabric, Class 2. 1-5/8" sch 40 bracing with 3/8'' truss rod at each terminal. 2-3/8" sch 40-line post set in concrete. 2-7/8" sch 40 corner post set in concrete. 3 stands of 4" C to C barbed wire. Barbed wire ends will be attached to the pole with brace bands. Install bar arms with 3-strand barbed wire and razor wire Tension bands will be used to secure the barbed wire to the poles. Razor Wire (Wire-Reinforced Barbed Tape): 430 Series stainless steel hardened to Rockwell (30N), 0.025 inches thick by 1 inch wide before fabrication; with 4-pointed, needle-sharp barbs permanently cold clenched to a minimum of 230 degrees F around a core wire. Core wire with 0.098-inch diameter, high-tensile-strength zinc-coated steel complying with ASTM A764 or stainless steel complying with ASTM A313/A313M. With a 12" spacing between loops. 12" wide by x 12" deep mow strip all the way around with Class A concrete All posts must be capped. Prospective bidders must register with the Procurement Website as a plan holder, even if bidding documents are obtained from a plan room or other site. All official notifications, addenda and other documents will be offered only through the Procurement Website. Bid forms obtained from any source other than the District may be incomplete and bidders risk not receiving necessary addenda, or other required documents causing bid to be considered non-responsive, and eliminating the bid from award. The District will not be responsible for the completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of the final bid documents obtained from other sources. Response to questions posted on the Procurement Website will be posted on the website by the District for the benefit of all bidders.
