For the construction of Cell 4E at the Aspen Waste Management Facility (Landfill) located in Drayton Valley, Alberta. The construction of Cell 4E will generally consist of landfill cell earthworks, compacted clay liner system installation, and construction of associated site works including berms and ditches. The work is located approximately 2 km north from the Town of Drayton Valley, Alberta in the landfill's West Expansion Area, at the legal location NW 1/4 Section 29, Township 49, Range 24, West of the Fourth Meridian. The work generally involves, but is not necessarily limited to, the following: Mobilization and demobilization including transporting equipment to and from site, constructing and reclaiming any haul roads required during construction, obtaining permits, erecting temporary facilities, and providing a safety program; Survey and layout; Topsoil stripping and stockpiling on-site; Excavation and stockpiling on-site of Clay Fill; Excavation and stockpiling on-site of Glaciolacustrine Clay; Excavation and temporary stockpiling on-site of Clay Till; General excavation and trenching; Preparation of subgrade; Place, grade and compact Clay Liner constructed of excavated Clay Till; Place, grade and compact Compacted Clay Cover (Liner Protection) constructed of excavated Clay Till; Supply and installation of Heavy Non-Woven Geotextile, Drain Rock, and Light Non-Woven Geotextile; Supply and install the leachate collection system, including but not limited to Perforated Extraction Pipe and accessories, Leachate Collection Pipe and accessories, Solid Rise Pipe and accessories, Leachate Cleanout Pipe and accessories; Final grading; and Surveying, as required for the completion of all portions of the Work, which must include a detailed as-built geodetic survey of the entire Work area and all the Work performed including the base of clay liner, top of clay liner, leachate system items, and top of drain rock.
