Carteret County Government is seeking proposals for Installation of a new Fire Alarm System as well as an alternate proposal for monitoring, maintenance, repair and inspections for Carteret County Government's Courthouse Complex. The Contractor shall provide the services discussed in this scope of work with its own workforce. The Contractor may propose to subcontract portions of the work provided that their proposals clearly indicate what work they plan to subcontract and to whom and that all information required about the prime contractor is also included for each proposed subcontractor. The County reserves the right to approve and or deny all subcontractors. The Contractor shall provide all necessary labor and equipment for the following service. Details are as follows: o The Contractor shall provide a proposal for disposal of old system(s), furnish and install a new fire alarm system with all associated equipment and hardware including but not limited to smoke detectors, motion detectors, pull stations, duct detectors, fire alarm control panel(s), maglocks, elevator recall, transmitters, back up batteries, wire, cover plates, signage etc. if applicable. o The Contractor may use existing wire and pull stations only if the Contractor deems it in good standing condition. The Contractor shall absorb any cost if it is decided to keep said equipment and results in any defects effecting operation of the new system. o The Contractor shall include submittals of equipment to be used. Please provide make, model and serial number along with any warranty information per device. o The awarded Contractor shall provide three (3) laminated hardcopies and one (1) digital PDF copy of the new system scaled engineered drawings with each device labeled on the map as well as the devices themselves. o The Contractor shall follow NFPA and other applicable codes to determine locations of new equipment. o Any damages caused by the Contractor shall be the Contractor's responsibility to fix or replace at the County's discretion. o Schedule of work shall be determined by Carteret County Government. o The Contractor shall obtain the required permits, if required, give all notices to the County POC (including a copy of any permits), and comply with all laws, ordinances, codes, rules and regulations bearing on the conduct of the work. Permits shall be posted onsite at project location. No time extensions shall be granted or financial consideration given to the Contractor for time or monies lost due to violations of any such ordinance, code, law or regulations that may occur. o The Contractor shall refer to and sign Attachment A, Federal Contracting Requirements as well as UG Provisions, 2 C.F.R. 200.326 and 2 C.F.R. Part 200, Appendix II, Required Contract Clauses.
