The City of Craig is requesting proposals for Woodbury Park Design & Build Baseball Backstops. Award of bid will be at the March 28 2023, City Council meeting. No bid shall be withdrawn after opening the bid without the consent of the City of Craig, for a period of 30 days after the scheduled time for opening bids. The bids must be completely filled out on the bid form provided. Bids shall be addressed to the City of Craig and shall have the name of the bidder and Woodbury Park Design & Build Baseball Backstops written thereon. Question deadline: 3/3/2023 The City of Craig is seeking qualified fencing professionals to remove and install chain-link backstop and upright posts at Jake's and United Way Fields in Woodbury Park, located at 250 Mack Lane. The exact dimensions should be verified by vendors. The current backstops have become dilapidated and, in some areas, unable to mend and fix. This is a design and build project that lends creativeness and flexibility to the contractor. In 2022, the City of Craig replaced Trapper Field backstop and would like to emulate same build for the other two backstop replacements. The peak season for the complex is May - August with numerous activities and events being programmed at the park. The anticipated start date for the project is July 1 to minimize the impact of the summer baseball season and field use. Emphasis given to creative and original design that is cost effective, sustainable, and durable. In the spring of 2023, the City of Craig is proposing major renovations at Woodbury Park that consist of concrete pathways, landscaping around restroom facility, backstops, and dugout replacements. These proposed projects will make significant impacts at the park and be a highlight within our community park system. Selected backstop vendor will work with city staff as well as other contractors ensuring successful outcomes for this project as well as the other projects happening at the park.
