Reference Number - 0000312062 Question Acceptance Deadline - 03/08/2023 04:00 PM EST Questions are submitted online - No Provide a new coating for the exterior of three steel storage tanks including walls, roof, and minor appendages. Tanks are approximately 140 150 wide and 40 high from grade. New coating must be capable of withstanding 20-25 years of further use, including the following: Provide testing of existing exterior tank coatings for lead content. Remove existing coating layers at exterior exposed surfaces of the tanks to bare metal, including what is likely a lead-based original coating layer, by an EPA lead-safe certified firm, including all required containment and hazardous waste disposal. Repair any areas of pitting, rust, or other damage prior to re-coating. Provide recommendations for product specifications based on the following criteria in order of priority 1. Durability Warrantability 2. Ease of Maintenance, 3. Ability to meet requirements for project schedule, 4. Products overall environmental impact, 5. Product cost. Re-coat tanks in a manner durable for 20 25 years inclusive of all required primer and sealants.
