Site work and paving for a civil project in Westmont, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; and water / sewer project.
The proposed construction consists of approximately 569 LF of new 24" diameter HDPE storm sewer, 397 LF of new 12" diameter storm sewer, miscellaneous concrete work and asphalt patching and landscape restoration. Completion of a DuPage County Highway Permit is required. Project Location is on 57th Street between Cass Avenue and Adams Street in the Village of Westmont. Not less than the prevailing rate of wages as determined by the Department of Labor or determined by the court on review shall be paid to all laborers, workmen and mechanics performing work under this contract. b. The Village of Westmont is exempt from the Illinois State, municipal or county Retailers Occupation Tax, Service Occupation Tax, Use Tax, and Service Use Tax as described in Illinois Compiled Statute Chapter 35. Bid prices shall not include the cost of such taxes. c. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bidder's bond, certified check, bank cashier's check or bank draft payable to the Village of Westmont for ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Bid as provided in the Bidder Instructions. d. There is no scheduled Pre-Bid Meeting. 4. Rejection of bids. The Board of Trustees reserves the right to reject any or all Bids and to waive technicalities. Unless the Bids are rejected for good cause, award of contract shall be made to the lowest responsible and responsive Bidder
