As of April 11, 2023, project was awarded to Blooming Glen Contractors, Inc., awarded amount is $623,719.25. For Cartway Milling and Superpave Wearing Course Installation Cartway Milling (approximately 7,625 square yards), Superpave Wearing Course Leveling/Overlay Installation (approximately 5,970 tons), and line striping (approximately 8,675 LF). Contractor will provide labor, equipment and material for cartway milling to a maximum depth of 2.5 inches on Upper Stump Road and Tiffany Drive only; installation of Superpave Asphalt mixture design, 9.5 mm leveling course (as directed) on all roads; installation of 2 inches wearing course mix on all roads; and installation of a double yellow line on Upper Stump Road only. Contractor is responsible for milling at all paving joints including intersections, structures, curbs, and paved driveways and seam sealing at intersections, structures, curbs, and paved driveways. Contractor is responsible for sweeping, tack coat, and traffic control. Township must be notified a minimum of five (5) working days prior to start of work. All work must be performed as directed by the Township. CLARIFICATION DEADLINE 3/16/2023 12:00 PM All envelopes containing Bid proposals shall be clearly marked "Bid Proposal for Letting of a March 20, 2023 Bid for Milling and Paving". If designated as the successful bidder, the contractor will begin work on the date specified in the Notice to Proceed or otherwise provided in the General Specifications/Special Provisions and will complete all work within Sixty (60) calendar days, from Notice to Proceed Accompanying this proposal is a certified check or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the total bid made payable to the municipality as a proposal guarantee which, it is understood, will be forfeited in case the contractor fails to comply with the requirements of the proposal. The contractor will provide the municipality with a performance bond, conditions upon the faithful performance of the contract in accordance with the plans, specifications and conditions thereof, and a payment bond conditioned on the prompt payment of all material furnished and labor supplied or performed in the prosecution of the work, in accordance with the Public Works Contractor's Bond Law of 1967; and an affidavit accepting the provisions of the Workmen's Compensation Act of 1915, as amended. Hilltown Township, at its sole discretion, reserves the right to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder, or reject all bids.
