SCOPE OF WORK (IFB) The purpose of this Invitation for Bid (IFB) is to is to select a Vendor(s) that can provide Conductor Cable for JEA Inventory Stock at the best value to JEA (the "Work" or "Services"). "Best Value" means the lowest cost to JEA with regards to pricing and lead times. A more detailed description of the Work is provided in the Technical Specifications included as Appendix A to this Solicitation. Capitalized terms used in this Solicitation without definition shall have the definitions given to them in Section 2.2 of this Solicitation. BACKGROUND JEA owns, operates and manages the electric system established by the City of Jacksonville, Florida in 1895. In June 1997, JEA also assumed operation of the water and sewer system previously managed by the City. JEA is Florida's largest municipally owned utility and the seventh largest municipal in the United States. A complete copy of this Solicitation, the Appendices, forms and all other documents referenced in this Solicitation can be downloaded from jea.com. All Responses must reference the Solicitation Title and Number noted above. All Responses must be made on the appropriate forms as specified in this Solicitation and uploaded to JEA's Zycus sourcing platform (example below).
