Work includes replacement of the existing EPDM roof on the Bus Maintenance Building with a new EPDM roof and insulation, replacement of existing EPDM roof on the Trolleyworks Building with a new standing seam metal roof, and replacement of the existing EPDM roof on the Battery Barn Building with a new standing seam metal roof. Successful bidders will be required to comply with all applicable Equal Employment Opportunity laws and regulations and complete all work within one hundred fifty (150) consecutive calendar days of issuance of the Notice to Proceed. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid bond, cashier s check, or certified check made payable to AMTRAN in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the base bid. No Bidder may withdraw a bid within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. In the event the Contract cannot be awarded within the specified period, a time extension may be granted by mutual agreement between the Owner and the selected Bidders. This contract is subject to a financial assistance contract between AMTRAN and Federal Transit Administration (FTA) and the U.S. Department of Transportation. All bidders will be required to certify that they are not on the Comptroller General s list of ineligible contractors. Bidders are also advised that the Authority has established goals for the participation of minority business enterprises in the work to be performed.
