Solano Transportation Authority Contract No. 2023-02 The Solano Transportation Authority (Authority) intends to construct parking lot improvements fronting Suisun Street near Common St in Suisun City. Proposed improvements include but not limited to curb and gutter, vertical curb, bioretention curbs, sidewalk, driveway, asphalt pavement plugs, asphalt digouts, storm drainage pipe, curb inlets, dome inlets, subdrain pipe, drainage swale, bioretention area, adjusting inlets, coordination with utility companies for box adjustments, asphalt paving and class 2 aggregate base in parking lot, pavement markings, lighting, security system, landscaping, planting, irrigation, underground electrical, foundations for electrical equipment, removal of existing fences and installation of new ornamental fence and sliding gate and pedestrian gate with knock box for access, key pad access, access cards, detector loops, installation of new EV charging stations and all other associated electrical work. Additional work includes miscellaneous sidewalk demo and replacement work to install new ornamental fences and gates at the back of new STA building. The Contractor must have a Class A General Engineering Contractors license. The successful bidder shall complete work within 260 working days from the commencement date set forth in the Authoritys notice-to-proceed. If the successful bidder fails to complete the work within the above-specified time limit, the Contractor shall pay liquidated damages to the Authority, computed at the rate outlined in the 2018 Caltrans Standard Specifications. The estimated cost of construction is $2,050,650. The DVBE Contract goal is 3 percent.
