Bids for material to be supplied for the construction of the Water System Improvements Project, Contract No. 1A - Water System Improvements Material Procurement The project consists of the purchase and delivery of 140 feet of 4 inch diameter ductile iron water main, 1,460 feet of 6 inch diameter ductile iron water main, 14,880 feet of 8 inch diameter ductile iron water main, 20 feet of 10 inch diameter ductile iron water main, 4,300 feet of 12 inch diameter ductile iron water main, six (6) 4 inch gate valves, forty-nine (49) 6 inch gate valves, sixty-three (63) 8 inch gate valves, one (1) 10 inch gate valve, nine (9) 12 inch gate valves, 35 hydrant assemblies, and various fittings and couplings found on the Bid Form Bids will be received for a prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis, as indicated in the Bid Form. The Village will award contracts based upon sections of unit prices, as indicated on the Bid Form, and may not award all material to one supplier. Each Bid must be submitted on the prescribed Bid Form and accompanied by Bid security, as prescribed in the Instructions to Bidders. In order to perform public work, the Successful Bidder and Subcontractors prior to contract award shall hold or obtain such license as required by State statutes, and Federal and local Laws and Regulations. Bids will not be accepted from Bidders that have been barred from competing on public works under General Municipal Law 5A-103-b. Purchases made by the Village of Greenwich are not subject to any Federal, State or local sales tax. Bidders shall not include in their bid sales and compensating No pre-bid conference will be held for this project. The Owner's right is reserved to reject all Bids or any Bid not conforming to the intent and purpose of the Bidding Documents.
