Site work for a water / sewer project in Grande Prairie, Alberta. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

A. Location of Storm Pond is 156 Ave and 98 Street, east of Highway 43 and beside Knelson Sand and Gravel (NW-12-72-06-W6) See map page 10. B. Amount of Dewatering for the project is estimated to be between 200,000 to 300,000 cubic meters. C. Pump Rate - maximum 12,000 m3 per day. D. Anticipated start date of May 9, 2022 or no frost conditions.. E. Flat line distance needed would is approximately 2,900 to 3,000 meters depending on placement of pump. F. This is a 24-hour a day operation. Day and night shift operators are required for monitoring water line in accordance with Alberta Transportation Right of Way while pumping. G. Daily volume pump reports are required to be emailed to the County Representative. H. This project will be completed on the County of Grande Prairie's dewatering license. I. Both an Environmental Construction Operations plan and TAS (Traffic Accommodation Strategy) plan are required for mobilization and will be worked on together with the County and awarded Bidder. J. An elbow and solid pipe may be required at outlet to go under road through culvert. There must be a diffuser put on outlet and rubber liner laid in ditch under diffuser to mitigate erosion. K. Back-up pump required to be onsite or readily available within one-hour distance from site to reduce time delays in project (i.e., in case of breakdown). L. All culvert cleaning and steaming will be done by contractor prior to or during flat line install. M. Pre-inspection of pump site and line route before bidding of this contract is solely up to the bidder. N. Swamp mats or rig mats required for pump site and will be included in bid. O. Cold pumping - bidder must supply a cost to heat if cold conditions apply. This would be: Pump rate achievable through heater All-in price of units per day Cost of rig in and rig out of all parts of heating P. The contract will be all in bid costing no extras paid unless a scope change is agreed upon Q. Lines in ditch must not touch or do damage to traffic signs.. R. Two vehicle ramps may be required, bid as a deletable. S. Night shift lighting supplied by contractor, if required, included in bid T. The awarded vendor will be assigned Prime Contractor status by the County for this project. (See Section 1.7.2 of the Form of Agreement RFQ PS-2022-0005 for complete details) U. Pre- and post-job inspection to be completed and any damage to County or Alberta Transportation infrastructure to be repaired. V. Highway crossing has 800 mm culverts. W.
