This project involves 21 specific sanitary sewer repairs by way of grout injection, spot repairs and manhole lining. Project includes elimination of inflow and infiltration into eight (8) manholes, sanitary sewer CIPP spot lining repairs, grouting of designated sewer joints and service lateral wyes, traffic control as may be required, and all required, cleanup and site restoration. Question Deadline 03/15/2023 all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than five (5) business days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. The Proposals must be made to the Borough of Dormont, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, and shall remain firm for a period of sixty (60) days. No Bidder may withdraw his Proposal during the sixty (60) day period without forfeiting his Proposal guarantee. Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds, along with Public Liability and Property Damage Certificates of Insurance in the amounts specified, as well as Certificates of Workman s Compensation must be filed with the executed Agreements. Pennsylvania Prevailing Wages must be paid on this contract. Proposals to receive consideration must be accompanied by a Certified Check or Bidder s Bond from a Surety Company authorized to do business in Pennsylvania, made to the order of the Borough of Dormont in an amount equal to ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the Proposal as a guarantee that, if the Proposal is accepted, the successful Bidder will enter into an Agreement within 15 days after Notice of the Award of the Contract. Contractor must also submit a completed Non-Collusion Affidavit with their bid or the bid will be considered non-responsive. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all Proposals, or any part thereof, for any reason, and also reserves the right to waive any informality therein. The Contracts will be awarded to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
