Award amount is $686,668.80** Major items include approximately 43,440 SY of milling, 1,560 SY of base repair and 4,680 tons of wearing course Resurfacing - work to include preparation of road surface which will include, but not be limited to, vegetation removal, sweeping, paving transition notch, correction of detrimental conditions, coordination of utility valve box/manhole adjustments; placement of tack coat; placement of 114" compacted bituminous concrete wearing course; adjustment of driveway aprons with bituminous material, sealing of all joints, seams, curbing and around inlets, manhole, etc.; and clean-up.Base Repair - work to include mechanical cutting of road surface, excavation and disposal of deteriorated road base, compaction of subgrade and placement and compaction of bituminous concrete base course.Milling - work to include variable depth milling (114" - 3") of existing road surface. Disposal of material and clean-up. Caution to be exercised along existing curb line. Any damaged curb must be replaced. The successful bidder, who is awarded the contract, will be required to pay PennBid Program a fee of 1/4 % of the contract award value. There is a minimum award fee of $100.00 and a maximum of $5,000.00. Bidders must confirm the fees associated with bidding through PennBid and the successful bidder is responsible for the fees associated with the awarded bid. A bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of each total bid, made payable to the Township, must accompany each bid. Attention of Bidders is called to all of the requirements contained in the bid package, particularly to the PA Prevailing Wage Rates, Public Works Employment Verification Form, various insurance requirements, various equal opportunity provisions, and the requirements for a payment bond and performance bond for 100% of the contract price and a one year maintenance bond for 10% of the contract price. All Contractors and Subcontractors of any tier that perform work under this contract must comply with the Township of Ridley Ordinance No. 2048 Minimum Standards of Contractor Responsibility. Each bidder must submit a Contractor Responsibility Certification, and if applicable, a Subcontractor list and Subcontractor Responsibility Certification with the bid. Failure to submit the documents may result in bid being rejected. The Township of Ridley reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids thereof, and waive any informalities in the bidding, as they deem in the interest of the Township.
