The project consists of repair and rehabilitation of roadways in the city of Kent, which includes residential and business areas. The roadway repair work includes planing bituminous pavement, pavement repairs, asphalt overlays, chip sealing, curb ramps, curb, gutter and sidewalk repairs, cement concrete extruded curbs along two elementary schools, trail repairs along the S 277th Street Corridor Trail, anti-racing rumble strips in the Kent Valley and other related work. The project includes work in areas near several Kent School District Elementary Schools. There is asphalt chip seal work along SE 200th Street near Springbrook Elementary, and extruded curb installations at two locations including SE 248th Street near Daniel Elementary and SE 256th Street near Meridian Elementary. To minimize traffic impacts and school disruptions, work along these school shall begin after June 22, 2023 with completion by August 18, 2023.
