As of April 13, 2023, the project has not been awarded. A timeline for award has not been confirmed. Interested bidders need to register at the PennBID web-site. Once registered, bidders can obtain all project documents and submit and update their bids online. Only those questions submitted online via PennBID shall be considered. Questions received after 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 16, 2023 regarding the project will not be acknowledged. The project consists of the mill and overlay of Mulberry Drive for approximately 351 feet from the existing paving at the signalized intersection to the existing (new) paving at the box culvert for Trindle Spring Run at varying widths and repainting pavement markings. A summary of bids received will be displayed on PennBid immediately after bid opening, the time of which is listed in the Invitation to Bid. It should be noted that bid results are subject to further review and should not be construed as issuance of an award. A Bid Bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bidders maximum bid price is required to be accompanied with a Bid. A Performance Bond and Payment Bond each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price shall be required from the Successful Bidder. The deposits of bidders, other than the one to whom the contract is awarded will be returned after execution of the contract. A Non-Collusion Affidavit, Nondiscrimination Clause, and Bidder Affidavit are required for this Bid. Silver Spring Township reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to re-advertise and award the contract in the regular manner or to waive any informality in the bid received and to accept any bid deemed to be most favorable in the interest of Silver Spring Township.
