The new Burnside Elementary School is a two-story, 500-student capacity facility with educational pods with an integral ICC rated storm shelter. Site scope of work includes clearing, excavation, storm drainage, underground utilities, fencing, finish grading, and pavement. Building structure includes insulated concrete forms, load-bearing CMU, poured-inplace concrete slabs, steel structure and decking for the second floor and roofs. The architectural scope of work includes masonry veneer, metal wall panels, low-slope membrane roofing, aluminum windows, millwork, floor finishes, ceilings, tiling, a kitchen equipment package, doors and hardware, and painting. Mechanical and electrical scope includes a geothermal HVAC system, controls, LED lighting, power and data systems, a fire protection system, and a sanitary lift station. Successful bidders will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds. The bond shall cover the entire base bid cost and any accepted alternates.
