SCOPE OF SOLICITATION - It is the intent of DCSD to solicit bids for removing and replacing of eight (8) split units located at Hartsville High School, Building 2, 701 Lewellyn Avenue, Hartsville SC 29550 Questions for the purpose of clarifying any part of this IFB must be in writing and can be delivered, or e-mailed to: Laurie Lane, Darlington County School District, Operations/Facilities Procurement Office, 2308 N Governor Williams Hwy, Darlington, SC 29540. It is the intent of the Darlington County School District to change out 8 split system units located at Hartsville High School Building Two. The new units must be Carrier, Trane or American Standard. Replacement units must be of equal tonnage to the one it is replacing. Replace the disconnect for each new condenser unit. Refrigerant lines for each new system are to be replaced. Install a new P-trap with a minimum 2 inch fall at the condenser. The new air handler is to have an auxiliary drain pan with a float switch. The drain pan is to be properly supported and of a sturdy enough gauge metal to prevent buckling. Insure the drain pan is level. The drain trap installed at the air handler must be an easy trap brand with a built in style float switch. We intend to use the existing thermostat wire as well as the thermostats. This is part of the districts energy control system. Any holes caused or uncovered during the installation must be properly sealed and taken care of. Old equipment as well as debris is to be cleaned up and hauled away after the job is completed. All safety precautions to protect students, staff, visitors, etc., must be followed.
