Sewer System Improvements: Clearing of existing sewer right-of-way, cleaning and video of approximately 4,000 LF of existing gravity sewer mains, the installation of approximately 200 LF of 8-inch gravity sewer, 1 new manhole, 2 new doghouse manholes, installation of new / relocated residential service connections, installation and/or replacement of approximately 1,900 LF of existing 4-inch sewer service lines to 31 existing residences and other necessary appurtenances and tasks. The project is being funded via the Spartanburg County CDBG program and therefore bidders must comply with all applicable State and Federal requirements identified in the contract documents. Bid Security: Bidders must deposit security with all bids. Security shall be in the form of a certified check or bid bond made payable to the Owner and shall be for an amount equal to not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid. Provisions of the security shall be as described in the Instructions for Bidders. No bid may be withdrawn within 90 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informality or to reject any or all bids. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or tarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents.
