Purpose of Procurement Pursuant to the State Purchasing Act (Official Code of Georgia Annotated 50-5-50 et seq.), this electronic Request for Proposals (eRFP) is being issued to establish a contract with a qualified supplier who will provide Consulting Services, Greenhouse Gas Mitigation Plan to the Kennesaw State University (the State Entity) as further described in this eRFP. Kennesaw State University is seeking to develop a Greenhouse Mitigation Plan that establishes a strategic roadmap for reducinggreenhouse gas emissions, increasing renewable energy sources, and improving resiliency. The plan shall provide actionable, cost-effective recommendations University Administration can use to inform planning and project decisions. The plan shall include prioritized mitigation strategies and actions, an implementation timeline and will outline expected investments and costs. The Consultants services are anticipated to begin by May 2023 with final planning documentation anticipated for completion in May 2024. The start of the project is contingent on the availability of funding. (All of the dates above are estimates which are subject to change. The fee structure for consulting services relative to the schedule, and fee amounts will be agreed upon by the Owner and the Consulting Professional prior to the start of planning professional services.) KSU is a comprehensive university located on two suburban campuses in northwest metro Atlanta. As the third largest university in Georgia, KSU has nearly 43,000 enrolled students and an annual economic impact of $1.8 billion. As a member institution of the University System of Georgia, KSU is committed to providing its students a high quality, impactful and affordable education. KSU signed the American College and University Presidential Climate Commitment in 2008, placing the University on a path towards achieving carbon neutrality.
